Biography

Dr. Ferenc Kovács received the M .E. degree from the Technical University of Budapest in 1959, the Academic degree of Technical Sciences (Ph.D.) in 1981 and the Doctor of Hungarian Academy of Sciences degree in 2001. He joined the Research Institute for Electronics "HIKI" in 1959 where he worked on the field of microelectronic design and testing. Since 1982 he has been Associate Professor on the Department of Electronic Devices of the Technical University of Budapest, getting the Professor title in 2001. He published more than 140 technical papers and two books on the high-frequency application of semiconductors. His further area of research are the development of integrated circuit test equipment, real-time applications of VLSI circuits, low-power design of CMOS circuits and the design of low-power biomedical instruments.

Research activity

His areas of research include development of IC test equipment and real-time control. Currently he is dealing with FPGA-based circuit development.
