EWME 2008 is the 7 th workshop on microelectronics education in Europe. The previous ones were held in Grenoble (1996), Noordwijkerhout (1998), Aix-en-Provence (2000), Barcelona (2002), Lausanne (2004), and Stockholm (2006). EWME2008 was held in Budapest 28-30 May 2008 in the Hotel Flamenco. The workshop was organized by the Department of Electron Devices of the Budapest University of Technology.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum to exchange ideas and to discuss developments and challenges in education and research on Microelectronics, Microsystems and related areas.
