The Mentor Graphics IC Design Laboratory has been inaugurated in September
The Mentor Graphics Integrated Circuit Design Laboratory was inaugurated in the presence of 20-25 jurnalists and invited guests on the 20th of September 2006.

Professor Márta Rencz  (Head of Department) greated the audience and introducesd the new laboratory. Professor  Gyula Sallai,  (Vice-Rector for Strategic Affairs of BME) spoke about the partnership from a general educational point of view. Professor Gábor Péceli, (Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of  BME) congratulated on behalf of the University.  Hanns Windele, Mentor European Vice President spoke on behalf of Mentor Graphics. Ian Burgess, Mentor Graphics' Higher Education Program Manager introduced HEP. Dr. Gábor Eszes (principal consultant at the Ministry of Economy and Transportation) spoke highlighted the macroeconimical aspects of Mentor Graphics' and BME's partnership.
Speeches were followed handing over the symbolic key of the new lab:  Hanns Windele handed over to Marta Rencz a rolled certificate tied up with an USB-key containg the software licenses.  
Our VIP guests were József Gacsal - Business Development Manager of Intel Hungary, József Galambos - CEO of  Eurosoft Talentis, Ferenc Mernyei - CEO of Integration Hungary, Tom Mitchel - IC Design Group Manager of Duolog Technologies and Tamás Zsemlye from Sun Microsystems Hungary.
